This coffee comes from the La Montaña Alta region in Guerrero (Mexico), where it is grown by a collective of 38 women known as Las Guerreras. The coffee trees grow on small farms in the shade of native trees and fruit trees, in traditional agroforestry systems that support biodiversity and uniform ripening of the cherries.

The Guerrero region is known for its high proportion of naturally processed coffees, which is reflected in the cup – expect a pronounced sweetness, fruity character, and fuller body.

Thanks to the cooperation with Ensambles, both the quality and processing of the coffee have improved, which allows the farmers access to specialty markets and to focus on producing higher quality coffee.
